What were the blog posts that were most popular on the BoardAssist blog in 2014?  Thanks to Google Analytics, its easy for us identify which ones resonated most with our followers.  As the advice our guest bloggers offered in 2014 is certainly just as timely as we start 2015, we thought it would be a great idea to thank our guest bloggers again for their wisdom and republish their great advice with you now!

1.  Of the many questions we get asked at BoardAssist, how to successfully court board members is definitely the top one.  That’s why we wrote Top Twelve Tips for Courting New Board Members.

2.  Seven Nonprofit Finance Tips to Keep Your Board Out of Trouble was an extremely popular guest post by finance pro Paul Konigstein.  BoardAssist placements want to be the best board members they can be, and Paul pointed them in the right direction with this post.

3.  Tech Impact gave our readers lots of terrific advice in 2014 but their most widely read post was definitely 3 Things Every Board Member Should Know About Social Media.

4.  Planning Your Next Career Move? Don’t Forget to Join a Nonprofit Board.  We weren’t surprised this was one our of 5 most-read blog posts of 2014.  In today’s economy, a lot of us have job hunting on the brain.  It’s great to know that joining a nonprofit board is a great career move as well as a terrific way to give back.

5.  What nonprofit wouldn’t want to lock in a $10,000 a month grant from Google?  In Is Your Nonprofit using Google’s Free AdWords Grant? nonprofit geniuses Nonprofit Hub told us how to access that terrific Google gift.
