NEW YORK, NY — BoardAssist, the leading personalized nonprofit board matching service in the United States, announced today that its board placements have brought over $280 million into the nonprofit community since the organization’s founding in 2000. The milestone comes alongside results from BoardAssist’s newly completed Summer 2026 Survey, which found that more than 95% of BoardAssist-placed candidates are serving as leaders on the boards where they were placed within 12 months — and that 100% of respondents said they would work with BoardAssist again and refer others to do the same.

Unlike services that simply hand candidates a list of open board seats to sort through on their own, BoardAssist personally matches every candidate to a board — built on 26 years of relationships with the nonprofits it serves.

No Conflict of Interest

Candidates never pay a fee to work with BoardAssist. Because BoardAssist isn’t paid by a candidate’s employer to place them, the organization says its priorities stay entirely with the candidate and the receiving nonprofit.

“We focus solely on finding our candidates their dream board — not a board their employer wants them to serve on because of their company’s philanthropic priorities,” Remec said.
