Our Ten Favorite Nonprofit Blog Posts of the Year

It’s that time of year when everyone starts pulling together their list of top ten blog posts of 2014.  We’re getting an early start this year, thanking the terrific bloggers who taught us so much, and sharing their helpful wisdom with our followers.  Thanks for helping us all do our jobs better!

 Our Ten Favorite Nonprofit Blog Posts of the Year

1.  Fundraising pro Gail Perry never ran out of great new ideas this year. As we approach year end, particularly timely is Top 10 Year-End Fundraising Strategies for 2014.

2.  About.com’s always wise Joann Fritz gave many of us a much-needed push in Why Your Charity Should Have a Monthly Giving Program.

3.  Tech Impact gave great tech advice all year long. We love their post reminding us Why Email Still Matters To Nonprofit Marketing.

4.  As a nonprofit that builds boards around the globe, we loved the spot-on infographic NonprofitHub shared in Assembling Your Super Board of Directors [Infographic]. Brilliant!

5.  Show us the money! Pamela Grow tried to do just that in 5 Steps to Unlocking Hidden Fundraisers: A Practical Guide to Working Better With Program Staff and Raising More Money.

6.  Nonprofit Tech for Good supported the nonprofit community with loads of great ideas in 2014. Our favorite:  10 e-Newsletter Best Practices for Nonprofits

7.  Marketing Resolutions for Every Nonprofit Communications Plan by communications maven John Haydon, made it simple for us all to up our game when it came to marketing our work.

8.  We all want to know how to spread our message. Beth Kanter told us how to do just that in her very helpful post How Your Organization’s CEO Can Use Social Media for Thought Leadership.

9.  Catch-A-Fire, who shares our mission to provide meaningful ways for people to give back, wrote a great post on treating volunteers right in Creating Coveted Volunteer Roles.

 10. Are we making donating online as easy as we can?  Marketing genius Kivi Leroux Miller showed us the way in How to Make Online Donations Simple for Potential Donors.
